In a Smart Farmers baby leaf farm you will harvest 25-30 times per year at 2-4 kg/m². Many crops will thrive well and the most known are arugula, kale, sorrel, mizuna and of course spinach and of course watercress.
The process of growing baby leaves is easy and well organized. Sow your selected seeds in our special rafts (floating boards) and stack for germination. Introduce the germinated rafts in our vertically organized containers. Our LED-fixtures with selected light spectra, the carefully enriched and oxygenized water and the overall climate control will create the perfect growing environment
Mechanical sewing and harvesting is also possible in baby leaf culture. Automatization will allow you to focus on overall performance, logistic processes and distribution to optimize your business.
